![]() ![]() When you first download the game, you're treated to a fully animated cut scene where Homer Simpson, the franchise's layabout anti-hero, complains about a game on his tablet. But it overcomes these and a few other problems with high-quality production and a heavy dose of self-aware sarcasm that kept me tapping. On paper, a licensed mobile game tied to an aging franchise and filled with in-app purchases should be terrible. ![]() What I find so remarkable about The Simpsons: Tapped Out (free, Google Play) is that it actually manages to be fun.
